Constellation Card Game

The downloabable file is a prototype of a pen and paper board game about drawing constellations. Saddly the rules are written only in spanish :(

RETROSPECTIVE: First (sorta-finished) game that I made right after deciding that I wanted to be a game designer. Before this one all my games were made without that much thought; at least on the sense of seeing game design as the integration of everything and not only the creation of rules and systems. By this time I was obssesed with creating original mechanics over anything (and that certainly limited and even hurted my designs). Still I kinda have a soft spot for this game because it was made to try to recapture the pen and paper games that one would play when bored at school on a blank page of a notebook that then becomes a nostalgic memorial of that play session. Hope you like it!

INTEGRATION LEVEL: Actually above average! Only use of pen and paper and two main mechanics to convey almost everything in the experience. Some ideas are actually pretty interesting but saddly they are buried on too many layers of abstract systems to actually have a memorable meaning. Understandable since the game was made to work just mechanic wise but, at least for what I strife as a game designer, that means lazy design.
